Work through the move stage by stage.
Five stages, local progress tracking, source confidence, and Markdown export — no account required.
Most relocation guides hand you a flat list of tasks. A flat list hides the part that actually costs you time: roughly half those tasks block the other half, and you only find out which half when you are already standing in the wrong queue.
This pipeline encodes the order. Five stages, run top to bottom, each one assuming the previous is done.
The dependencies that bite hardest:
- Documents get apostilled in the country that issued them. Birth certificates, marriage certificates, degrees, police clearance — every one of them is dramatically harder to obtain once you have left. This is why Pre-Flight is its own stage rather than a packing note. A missing apostille is a flight back, not a form.
- Your OIB blocks everything local. The tax number gates the bank account, the lease, health insurance, and the residence permit. Nothing else in Initialization starts moving until it lands, so it is the first thing to chase after arrival.
- Address registration gates residency. And the lease usually gates the address. A landlord who will not register you is a dead end, not a bargain.
- Tax residency is decided by a day count, not by your intent. The calendar starts whether or not you have modelled it, which is why the tax math sits in Assessment — before you commit, not after.
Each stage lists its prerequisites, the documents you should be holding by the end of it, an actionable checklist where every item carries an official source and a verified date, and the pitfalls people hit most often.
Progress is stored locally in your browser. There is no account, and nothing is sent anywhere. When you want it elsewhere, export the whole pipeline to Markdown.
Filters at the top narrow the checklist to your situation — visa route, whether you are moving solo or with partner and kids, and whether pets are coming. Items that do not apply to you disappear rather than sitting there as noise.
